Holly Hunter
What got you into shooting?
After seeing my brother and one of his friends playing with toy bows and arrows in our neighbourhood, one of my neighbours who was already an archer offered to take us to a taster session at his club.
What are your goals and ambitions?
My main goal is to shoot internationally for GB, and my current short/medium term goals for achieving this is to increase my strength, improve my mental game and beat my 720 and head to head scores.
What was your best archery achievement?
My best achievement would probably be how I overcame my target panic a few years ago. It got to the point where I couldn’t bring myself to pick up my bow, but I was determined to continue to shoot, and I’m so proud that I didn’t give up.
Do you do anything outside of archery?
I’m currently in my second year of studying for A Levels, as well as learning to drive and working part time in a kitchen, which takes up pretty much all my non-archery time.
What’s the best part of archery for you?
My favourite part of archery is competing, I love meeting new people and challenging myself to be better (my favourite competition would have to be Youth Fest).
