As the ticket launch is coming up we have put together a number of question that we have been asked over the last few weeks…..
Where can I buy a ticket for the seminar and the coaching opportunities?
The tickets will go on sale from this web site only.  You will be able to click the “Buy now” on the main information p[age or click from the menu “Comps & Expos” / “Upcoming Events”

Do I need to pay for a seminar ticket as well as a coaching place?
No you don’t need to buy a seminar ticket if you just want to come along as an archer, or as a coach to observe Coach Kim.  Just follow the book process and select what you would like to attend.

What is I find out I can’t make the seminar and have paid for a ticket?
Please see the cancellation policy listed in the main information page for the seminar.

I am have a disability, can I still attend any of the event?
Yes we are able to accommodate your disability. Please drop me a line on seminar@aim4sport.com to discuss

What if I am hard of hearing?
The university have an induction loop built into the Ramphal Lecture Theatre, so delegates can use this

Are guide dogs allowed?
Yes guide dogs and working dogs will be allowed.

What’s parking like?
We have ample parking around the campus so should not have any issues with parking.

I want to stay over what accommodation is available?
On the main information page I have listed a number of hotels in the area. We have no connection with any of the hotels; these links have been put on the site for your convenience.

Is there accommodation on site?
There will be accommodation on site; however it will not be available until 6 weeks before the event.

Can I record any of the event?
No recordings of any kind will be permitted during the seminar or coaching phases of coaching. If you are found recording you will be removed from the promises and recording material will be checked and recorded data removed.

I have dietary requirements and forgot to let you know. What can I do?
Please email up to 6 weeks before the seminar at seminar@aim4sport.com with your requirements. If it is after this time we may not be able to accommodate your request.

I have had issues attending will I be able to get a refund?
Please see the cancellation policy listed in the main information page for the seminar.

Do you have to be an AGB member?
No you do not need to be and AGB member to attend the seminar.

Can juniors attend?
Yes juniors can attend the seminar; however they will need to be accompanied by an adult. Juniors are also welcome to book a coaching session with Coach Kim

Are the coaching sessions recurve only?
No the coaching sessions are for Compound as well as recurve. However they are offered on a first come first served basis.

Do I need to be a specific standard to book a coaching session?
Any standard is welcome to book for the coaching sessions.

Can I record my coaching session?
No recordings of any kind will be permitted during the seminar or coaching phases of coaching. If you are found recording you will be removed from the promises and recording material will be checked and recorded data removed. You will be able to receive the dart-fish feedback which will be email through to you after the event.

Will I be able to ask questions at the seminar?
We will see how things work out and the questions will be taken on a ad-hoc basis. There will be assistants which will have microphone available for questions at the appropriate time.

Are drinks provided throughout the day?
Yes tea, coffee and juice will be available throughout the day. Lunch will be provided for both days of the seminar.

What if I can only attend one day?
Seminar cost is for 2 days the tickets cannot be split.

What is there to do in the local area?

  • Warwick Arts Centre is situated on Central campus and houses a cinema with reduced rates for Conference delegates
  • You will find bikes for hire on site – a great way to see the local area. See the website for more information: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/about/environment/transport/cycling/uni-cycles
  • Coventry city centre is only four miles away and Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon and Leamington are nearby

 

What signage should I look out for on campus?

  • University Signage – these are positioned around campus highlighting all Academic Buildings and social spaces – they are white rectangular blocks
  • Warwick Conferences signage is in place around campus to highlight particular buildings used for Conference Events

Are there any cash machines or banks on campus?

  • There are branches of Barclays and Santander, both have cash machines in the Students Union Atrium (directly next to Rootes Building)
  • There is also a cash machine outside Rootes Grocery Store

f I have any lost property during my stay who do I contact?

  • Contact Conference Reception on 02476 528910 who will be able to assist

Getting to campus

Please note that 8am – 10am and 4pm – 6pm are peak times for traffic on campus and the surrounding roads, please allow plenty of for your journey to campus.

 

  • The Conference Park is situated on the Central Campus of the University of Warwick located on the outskirts of Coventry with good transport links
  • If using a sat-nav use post code CV4 7AL which will bring you to the edge of campus then follow signs for central campus

  • The Conference Park is the name given to the facilities provided by Warwick Conferences on the Central University campus

 

Car Parking

  • Car parking is available for conference delegates in any of the Central campus non-barriered car parks (shared use) highlighted with a “P” on the conference campus map. Once on central campus follow sings for conference car parking.
  • Car parks that can be used by conference delegates may be a 10-15 minute walk from the conference venue.
  • When central campus car parks are busy you may directed to additional parking facilities on the edge of campus
  • Car share spaces are available to use after 10am by delegates during the day but not for overnight parking.
  • Your Event Organiser will send you the link to our car parking permit website where you can register, download and print your permit which is to be displayed in your vehicle. This will need to be completed a minimum of 5 working days in advance of the event.
  • If you do not download and print a permit in advance of arriving on campus you will need to use the pay and display machines (cash only) in the car parks. Up to 2 hours £1.10, up to 4 hours £2.20 & all day £4.50. Parking charges apply 6am – 6pm Monday – Friday
  • Accessible parking spaces are available in all car parks
  • Please inform your Event Organiser if you require an accessible parking space close to your accommodation (blue badge holders only)
  • Please inform your Event Organiser if you have particular car parking requirements (i.e. a minibus or high-sided vehicle)

 

Public Transport

  • Coventry is on the west coast mainline and is serviced by regular trains, 7 days a week. There is a taxi rank at Coventry station
  • Local buses offer a frequent and convenient way of travelling to and from campus. There are regular bus services to the University campus from Coventry city centre and Coventry rail station, with the journey taking approximately 30 minutes.

  • Birmingham International airport is approximately 20 minutes from campus by car and connects to many international cities. There is a taxi rank at Birmingham International airport.

 

Wi-Fi access across Central campus

Conference Park delegates can access the “Warwick Guest” Wi-Fi network around campus and within their accommodation. Ask at Conference Reception or any member of the conference team for assistance if required
