Harry Tapp

harryHow did you first get involved in your sport?

I first got involved with archery at Centre Parcs in Thetford, I was shooting barebow at life-sized animals and really enjoyed it, it was there that I found my love of archery.  When I got home we looked for the nearest club so that I could continue to shoot, I waited for the next beginners course and during the beginners course I was told that I had that ‘something special’ in archery.

What are your long-term goals?

My long-term goals for the future are to be selected by Archery GB, to work hard and progress as much as I can to reach the top.  I would love to represent my country at both International level and ultimately at the Olympics.

What do you enjoy most about being a sportsman?

There are many aspects to why I enjoy being an active sportsman, firstly the opportunities you gain when you participate in a sport to the best of your ability and the positive results you receive from all the hard work you put in.  I enjoy archery so much and my competitive streak fuels my desire to win.

I also enjoy making friends both at the club and at competitions.

What do you do in your free time?

Truthfully, what with school and archery I have very little free time but I try to fit in some ‘me’ time too and I like playing on Xbox, listening to music, spending time with my friends oh, and I really do like my food !!!
