Junior Policy Document

All coaching staff will be fully qualified with a recognised ArcheryGB qualification, CRB checked and fully insured. Any student teachers will be supervised by a qualified coach.

Activities will be run in accordance with Archery GB guidelines, particularly

relating to the Rules of Shooting, the policy for Safeguarding Children, Young

People and Vulnerable Adults Policy, to coaching and officiating qualifications,

and to safe practices.

A register will be taken at every class.

Pupil’s details (name, DOB, emergency contact) will be in the register. Records of pupils will also be stored on computer and will not be used for any other purpose outside of the shooting academy, or disclosed to any outside parties.

A first aid box and accident book will be on the premises at all classes.

Parents/carers are to remain with their child until the lesson begins.

No children under 12 should be left in the waiting area unattended.

Parents/carers – are asked to remain in the waiting area during the class or return at the end of the lesson.

At all times there will be a qualified coach and at least one other adult on the premises.

 

Activities will be accessible to all young people and will be appropriate to their ability.
